On October 10, 2022, The American Medical Association’s (AMA) CPT Panel approved a new vaccine code for the administration of a booster dose of the Novavax vaccine for patients 18 and older. This new code should be reported with CPT 91304 to code for the vaccine administration. As with the other Novavax vaccine codes previously released, this code will become effective once the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approves the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).
